DESCRIPTION: Kilim rugs or carpets are valued for their authentic village weaving and have become increasingly collectible in recent years. Kilims were actually woven for everyday use as opposed to rugs woven for a commercial basis, because of this there were no foreign market pressures changing the designs, as happened with pile carpets.
